This less than 1/4 mile, paved interpretive trail provides the ultimate view into nature's recycling ability. Huge trees that sprang from nurse logs tower above the trail, buds spring from every imaginable place to form new growth on all varieties of trees, ferns, moss and fungi. While much of the Mountain Loop is steeped in the history of mining, logging, and railroading, this trail depicts the non-stop natural history around us.
