41 Heather Lake & Mt Pilchuck Trails

With an elevation gain of 2125 feet over 3 miles, Mt Pilchuck is a strenuous hike that provides the ultimate view of the Cascades, Puget Sound, and the Olympics. Be prepared to share the route because of the number of visitors who have heard about the incredible views at the top.
Turn at the well marked road near Blue Bridge on Mt Loop Hwy.  You can stop at the Heather Lake Trailhead, or continue driving to the now-deserted location of the Pilchuck Ski Area.  As you approach the end of this 3-mile hike, the last fifty yards offer a rock scramble to reach the restored fire lookout at the summit.
